Sibambene Langa Women’s Group: Empowering Women, Strengthening Our Community
On 24 August 2024, Langa Community Advice Services proudly launched the Sibambene Langa Women’s Group, a solidarity initiative that marks a significant step forward in our ongoing fight against gender-based violence and femicide (GBV+F). Rooted in the heart of the Langa community, this group stands as a beacon of hope, resilience, and empowerment for women.
The Sibambene Langa Women’s Group is more than just a support network—it’s a safe space where women can speak freely, share their experiences, and find strength in unity. Our mission is to empower women by equipping them with essential skills and a renewed sense of purpose, helping survivors rebuild their lives and ensuring young women are protected from the cycles of violence.
We believe that true change comes from within our communities, and that’s why we are committed to holding men accountable and fostering an environment where women feel supported and valued. Through Sibambene, we aim to create a ripple effect of empowerment, where every woman in Langa can stand tall, knowing she has the support and resources needed to thrive.
